Build Your Information Architecture (Data Model)

You can build your data model from scratch, as well as your permission sets. You are completely free in doing so but we suggest talking to a Picturepark solution specialist to get some best practice advice. If you decide to do it yourself, you should ask yourself several questions before starting to configure the Content Platform.

A Simplified Model

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What type of content will you manage?
    • Example: product content, branding, internal communication
  • What information do you associate with each of these content types? How would you describe the material to a person outside your company?
    • product content is imagery for products, with one or multiple products visible; as well as technical documentation
    • branding material is per brand and campaign created, as well as general branding material like a logo.
  • Concretize on this information per type. What is the product? What is the technical documentation?
    • Products are organic foods and non-food articles
    • Technical documentation is explanatory text about ingredients, production procedures and markets, resellers.
